Pascagoula Downtown for the Holidays
Downtown Pascagoula kicks off December with one of the premier Christmas events on the Gulf Coast. Now running over forty years, the annual Downtown for the Holidays festival starts at 5:30 p.m. on the first Friday of December with the Christmas Tree lighting at Delmas Ave and Magnolia St. The Christmas Parade of Lights follows, starting at 7:30 p.m., and the magical, merry evening culminates with fireworks after the parade. Fun family activities also deck the evening, with cookie decorating, letters to Santa and live entertainment -- and of course a visit by Santa himself!

Christmas in the River City in Moss Point, MS
An all day holiday extravaganza on the first Saturday of December, Moss Point's Christmas in the River City event has something for everyone. Christmas shopping? Check! The Audubon Christmas Marketplace at the Pascagoula River Audubon Center kicks off the day at 9 a.m. and features vendor booths, food and lots of fun, including crafts, bird banding and photos with Santa Claus. Admission is free, which is a good thing, because you're sure to find plenty of local Christmas gifts for everyone on your list.
At 1 p.m. the Moss Point Christmas Parade on Main Street starts rolling from the Southgate Shopping Center, making its way to Riverfront Park, where the festivities keep going starting at 2 p.m. Santa's Village, vendors, music and, of course, the Moss Point Christmas tree lighting provide fun for all ages.
As if all that weren't enough, yet another parade lights up the night, this one on water! The Moss Point Christmas by the River Boat Parade starts at 5:30 p.m. and features boats of all kinds decked out in dazzling Christmas lights in the Pascagoula River at Riverfront Park. A cherished memory for many Pascagoula residents for years, the boat parade is a celebration that's sure to wow kids and adults alike.

Lights & Lagniappe on the Bayou - Gautier, MS

Just across the Pascagoula River Bridge, Gautier, MS hosts its own holiday celebration, Lights & Lagniappe on the Bayou. The fun gets started with the the Gautier Rotary Christmas Parade at noon. Moving over to the former Singing River Mall property, the festivities continue with a Christmas Carnival from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Children's crafts, bounce houses and appearances by Santa, Rudolph and the Grinch will delight the kids, while live music and holiday performances will entertain the whole family. There is also a holiday cornhole tournament! At 5:15 p.m. the Gautier Christmas Tree lighting kicks off, followed by a concert from the Gautier-Pascagoula School District choir. Top top it all off, the Christmas Light the Night fireworks show starts at 6.
